Be Free

When I was a little boy clenched on to my muma’s dress
Hanging on like my last breath, evn me i was a mess.
Then she teach me to address injustice with fearlessness
Iradiyo Ja’elku aaweey igu kulmeen
(means : the wisdom of grey hair and the foolishness of love have met inside me tonite)

I came up on dusty streets
Whether we hungry meet
Humid with hostility
Man the pressures killin’ me
All the boys I use to know
Aint around here anymore
Iradiyo Ja’elku aaweey igu kulmeen

All the troubles that we know
And without a place to go
Wen we try to say the truth
They say you don’t have the proof
If good things come to those who wait
why wont sunshine look my way
Iradiyo Ja’elku aaweey igu kulmeen

They say time is like a sword
Striking the ambition cord
Struggle has its own rewards
So we hope you march forward
Muslim, Jews, and Christians war
No ones left to praise the lord
Iradiyo Ja’elku aaweey igu kulmeen

If you want to be free then no one can fight it
If you want to see the moon then the clouds can’t hide it
We live in this impossible world we will change this fightin
Iradiyo Ja’elku aaweey igu kulmeen
